Tonight, a group of friends and I went to the hospital to visit a good friend of ours who’s going to have surgery tomorrrow. There were 8 of us total who went to go see him. I’m glad I went. I wasn’t sure if just his lifegroup was going, making it a guy only thing or not, but it basically was anyways since I was once again the only girl there, but it didn’t matter. I was just glad to go and support him…or at least let him know that I’m praying for him and that all goes well..

On an interesting note, getting to the room was a majorly fun experience. While leaving town, we pull up to a stop light and it turns out one of the guys, Joey, was in the truck next to us! Talk about random! So he drives ahead of us and pulls over at the next off-ramp, and we follow him so that he could ride the rest of the way there. So we start back on the highway and I notice the time. 8:15pm. I tell Archer, “Yea, we definetely aren’t making it there by 8:20.” Everyone laughs and agrees. The drive takes about 20-30 min. depending on your driving skills. hehe. *winkwink* We finally get there, and end up getting lost on the hospital campus. That hospital is H-U-G-E!!! We later figured out that we parked in the wrong parking deck, which caused us to miss the actual hospital. We went in the clinic, ran up the stopped escalators to the 2nd floor before Joey looked out a window and realized that we were in the wrong building. Running down the escalators, walking out random doors that we had not previously entered by, and off we were once again. We hit so many dead-ends trying to find the main entrance.

So we finally get to a building, walk inside, only to have to go through a metal dector. So off comes the keys, phones, the purse off my shoulder. Archer goes through clean, I go through clean, Zach goes through clean, and then there is Joey. He is being stopped by his pocket knife-of which he totally forgot that he had in his pocket. Needless to say, the two guardsmen are not very happy at that, and start kind of hasseling him about it. Finally one of the guards tells us that we are in the wrong area anyways, so we have to go back ouside and come in the building another way. Out into the night we go again, finding this brown double-door entrance in what looks like a sketch alley…but hey! the guard told us to go there. Thankfully the doors opened and we finally made it to where everyone else was. Since DT wasn’t in the room, we all wrote him notes of encouragement and stuff. What was really cool, was that right as we were thinking of leaving (since it was past vistor’s time) he walked into the room. So we all asked him questions and chit-chatted for a bit before praying for him. One thing that made me kinda sad, was that he had shaved off all his curls. We’re talking military buzz-cut style-its the only way he could have done it-but it was kind of weird to see him without his flippy curls. Oh well, I’m sure he’ll grow it back, and its not like it really matters in the long run, its just that I’ve never seen him with so short of hair before. Anways, walking back from the hospital, Joey scared me quite a few times. See, there were these train tracks, with these huge train cars on them, and Archer wanted to walk in-between then, and Joey told some story about him getting man-raped, so then he walked behind us. But as we are walking by them, Joey reaches out and grasps at me and I screamed! lol. And there were two cop cars down the raivine. LOL. It was hilarious! All the guys laughed at me though. Later on Joey scared me again but I didn’t scream…just yelped. haha

On the way back from the hospital, Joey let Archer have the backseat so that Archer and I could have make-out time. Talk about gag. I like Archer and all as a friend, but definetely not like that, and vice-versa. But of course, Archer being the typical guy goes along w. the joking and pretends to yawn and throw his arm across the backseat. lol. I was soo thankful that Zach drives a huge care! haha. It was hilarious but oh so weird. Brad did that to me at a movie once as a joke and it freaked me out then when he did it since we are just friends, and now Archer. *shakes head*

Oh man. I can’t wait for this week to be over. Only 3 1/2 days and spring break here I come. Nothing but relaxation at home…I’m hoping that me and the best friend can take a day trip to the beach. I really want to go just to go and get away from it all. So here’s to hoping. Anyways, if you read this, pray for my friend since his surgury is tomorrow morning. Thanks peeps. I’m out.

Peace & Love to ya!
